‘Trees of Life’ is an original room-scale interactive installation collaboratively designed by Edinburgh-based creative producers We Throw Switches, interactive installation artist Robin Baumgarten, and award-winning composer Luci Holland. The installation generates beautiful, playable LED ‘Trees’ – inspired by Charles Darwin’s original ‘Tree of Life’ conceptual drawings from ‘On The Origin of Species’ – encouraging a playful, engaging experience for those around it. It was commissioned by the Edinburgh Science Festival 2023 and exhibited at the National Museum of Scotland in its Grand Gallery.
